Workshop details

During these intensive days, students will learn how to portray the human figure through light and shadow in watercolor.

Eudes paints watercolors in 2 layers. During his class demonstrations, after he makes the first layer, students are intended to paint the first layer and so on.

No prior knowledge of being able to draw is required.

During the course, you will receive individual support from Anna, based on your own level. Theory combines with practice.

Artist biography

Eudes Correia

Portugal

Eudes Correia is a Brazilian watercolor artist currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. He is celebrated for his ability to transform ordinary people and fleeting street scenes into luminous works of art, filled with emotion and atmosphere. His paintings often feature anonymous figures in daily life, captured with a sense of immediacy and poetic simplicity that resonates deeply with viewers.

With more than 25 years of experience as a cartoonist, graphic designer, and illustrator, Eudes brings a unique perspective to watercolor. His transition to painting allowed him to blend the precision of design with the expressive freedom of the medium, creating a style that is both contemporary and timeless. Light, transparency, and spontaneity are hallmarks of his approach, qualities that have made his work highly recognizable and sought after.

As an international artist, Eudes has exhibited widely and conducted workshops across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has built a reputation not only as a painter but also as an inspiring teacher who shares his passion for watercolor with students of all levels. His workshops emphasize observation, emotion, and the dynamic interplay between water and pigment, encouraging participants to embrace both control and chance in their creative process.

In addition to his exhibitions and teaching, Eudes is also a brand ambassador for Winsor & Newton, one of the world’s leading art material companies. This role reflects his influence in the watercolor community and his commitment to advancing the medium.
